About Me: Billy Coull

I am Billy Coull. Father. Artist. Writer. Convicted man. Cancelled name. My journey has been marked by ambition, mistakes, resilience, and a long standing commitment to helping others.

This is my space to speak directly. Not through headlines or hearsay. In my own words. Here I own my past, share my present work, and set the course for my future.

Billy Coull: My Voice of Shame After Conviction

Roots in Creativity and Community

Growing up in Scotland was not easy. Early challenges shaped me, but I found my escape and my voice in music and theatre. Creativity became more than a passion. It was a way to build new worlds for myself and for others.

I have always believed in contributing to my community. I have volunteered with local projects, and one of my proudest roles was helping to establish the Gowanbank Hub in the southside of Glasgow. This community initiative provided emergency food aid, peer support, and a safe space for people in crisis.

Alongside my creative work, I have maintained a long term interest in metaphysics and alchemy. Both subjects have influenced my perspective on personal transformation, resilience, and the way we shape our own lives after hardship.

The Glasgow Event That Changed Everything

In 2024 I launched an immersive AI driven concept called Willy’s Chocolate Experience. My vision was bold, but my execution was flawed. The event quickly became a global news story for all the wrong reasons.

I underestimated what it would take to deliver at that scale. The disappointment was real, and I take full responsibility. My aim was never to mislead, but the reality fell far short of the promise. For that I am truly sorry.

What followed was the hardest chapter of my life. I made further mistakes, including one that led to a criminal offence. The full context is shared on My Truth, but in short: I pled guilty, served my sentence, and learned from it. It was a defining moment that forced me to confront the gap between intention and action.

Moving Forward with Honesty and Purpose

I am not asking for redemption. I am showing growth. The lessons I have learned about accountability, humility, the gulf between vision and reality, and the importance of human connection now shape everything I do.

Today I am focused on writing, storytelling, and creative work that explore failure, resilience, and the complexities of public identity. I am not erasing my past. I am building on it with honesty, clarity, and purpose.

This website is my commitment to that process.
Direct. Unfiltered. On the record.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
